The workshop will begin Friday January 18 at 7 pm with a free artist talk by Jane Tingley at NAISA North Media Arts Centre that contextualizes the anyWare sculpture on exhibit at NAISA North in relation to her previous interactive multi-disciplinary media artworks. She will also provide a 'behind the scenes' look into how anyWare was constructed and made interactive.

On Saturday Jan 19 (10 am – 4 pm) Jane Tingley will demonstrate and assist participants with constructing a customized Touch Board. The Touch Board made by Bare Conductive in the UK turns any surface, object or space into a sensor for triggering audio recordings by drawing and painting your original interactive surface design with conductive electric paint.

On Sunday Jan 20 (10 am – 4 pm) NAISA Artistic Director Darren Copeland will lead a winter 'sounding' walk exploring the village soundscape for distinctive winter sounds. Following that he will teach methods for editing and cleaning field recordings and help participants use the Touch Board to play and manipulate the recordings in an interactive way.
