March 15th - Mandatory Water Conservation Extended
- March 15, 2017
The mandatory water conservation status for residents on the South River water distribution system has been extended for an additional 24 hours. The extension is the result of a leak in the water distribution system east of the railway tracks. South River Public Works crews are continuing to try to locate the exact location of the leak. The water levels in the reserves are continuing to drop; your failure to participate in conserving water may result in the water reserves being depleted. This mandatory water conservation status is in effect until 4 pm March 17, 2017.
This is NOT a health issue. The water coming from the water treatment plant is treated and safe to drink, but a limited quantity is available. Please use water only as necessary.
